Acknowledging receipt of Dickson's letter with enclosed receipt from the Burnet House, Cincinnati, Ohio; Lincoln thanks Dickson for his attention to the matter and provides further instruction. Lincoln had stayed at the Burnet House in September 1859 and the hotel was claiming that his bill had not been paid.
